Medvedev approves list of large projects for state financing
MOSCOW, Mar 21 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a list of large state-run projects for financing, including construction of a car bridge between Crimea and the Krasnodar Region across the Kerch Strait, the Central Ring Road in the Moscow Region, and a high-speed highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg, he said at a meeting with his deputies on Monday.
“I have approved a list of large state-run projects, including infrastructure projects, which will be financed as federal target programs, and also from the NWF, the National Wealth Fund,” Medvedev said.
The projects also include investment in infrastructure of the key railroads Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) and Trans-Siberian Railway (Transsib), construction of air strips in a range of Russian airports, and some projects in the field of healthcare and sport.
The Russian authorities will take steps to monitor implementation of these projects because of the current difficult economic conditions, according to Medvedev.
